Did you find just the right purse on my site.... except for that bucking bronco concho on the front? Do you love the roper style with the fringe but want it in brown? Well, just let me know, often I can customize the purse by changing the conchos, shortening the handle or perhaps changing the handle all together. I have about 100 pairs of boots in stock and can make something just for you if you like. Just give me a holler! I'll be sure to holler back!

If you love purses you're gonna love this! Girls Inc, is organizing their annual Power of the Purse fundraising event! This organizaiton helps at risk girls to be strong, smart and bold. This year I will be designing 2 purses for Mike and AMy of the WOLF, FM 99.5. They will be getting boots from famous singers and I will transform the boots into fabulous purses or bags or perhaps one will be a "man bag"?? We'll see what inspiration transpires within the next few weeks.

Whew! It took me a while to finish the last batch of purses. But here they are! This one turned out kinda wild for the cowgirl funk at heart! I will now start a batch of custom boots, so I won't be posting more for about 3 weeks. I am making them as fast as possible looking forward to the holiday season! If you want a special personal purse made for a gift, please let me know as soon as possible. I hope you enjoy! Drop me a line....

It's a beautiful fall day, sunny, warm and wonderful crisp apples ready to be picked. The boots are waiting patiently on the shelves in the shopping, but they are calling to me. They are ready to collect beautiful and amazing memories to be admired and appreciated instead of collecting dust and cobwebs. I've got about 15 purses at various stages of development, soon to become the partner to a cowgirl with some gumtion. Can't wait!

Don't you love to say that?? Say it out loud! Well, now you can zipper up all your cowgirl gear safely in any double size purse. I will make a custom fit zippered pouch that fits neatly into any double you order to keep your stuff safe and prevent spillage if your purse gets tipped over! It is available in small and medium and brown and black. The cost is only $25! Can't beat that!

Just when I thought I’d hit the high road and I finally know the direction should go.... the weather changes. Whirlwinds and big, fat snowflakes redirect my life - my perspective, and give me eyes to see a different, more rewarding path. I recently worked on a particularly challenging project, thanks to Tim Kelly. He sent me some old, rough boots to make into a purse for his sweet sister, Pam. The leather was stiff, folded in funny ways, and oh, those zippers! Big, thick, cranky zippers.

I am incredibly optimistic that this will be an even better year than 2008! Even in the snow! We usually get only 2" of snow a year that lasts about 24 hours. Well, it’s snowing again for the 27th day in a row… but it is really pretty and serene. Lucky for me I can still walk to work! My shop is located right here on our property.

Whew! What a winter storm we just endured! The Christmas season was fantastic for us and we so deeply appreciate all our customers and the opportunity to make so many special memories from your boots! My 21-year old son even got to try his hand at purse designing and created his first purse for his girl friend! It was quit enduring to watch him work so diligently with every stitch to be just right. He wrote a very touching note to go with this precious gift.

Whew! What a busy time this is! Thank you to all who have allowed me to be a part of the history of your families by making custom cowboy boot purses. One of my favorite stories is that of a 19 year old girl that lost her dad recently. Her dad bought her first pony when she was 5 years old. It was heart breaking to hear her pony also passed away. She sent me her dad's boots and her pony's hair. I created a forever treasure with the memory of her beloved father and pony in a purse she can carry with her where ever life takes her.

Every day makes me smile to enter my rustic shop, the smell of leather fills the air, oh where do I start today? When I pull down a pair of boots, I set them in front of me at my work table and stare at them for a bit. Sometimes I dream about where they've been and how much horse sweat has swept the shaft. Then I let the creativity begin and this old cowhide becomes a new creation that will bring smiles to the faces of many a cowgirl. I love the history of the boots and the future they have yet to see.

It was my honor to design a purse for Hailey T. of Illinois. Her father shared her passion of horses and bought her first pony when she was 5 years old. Her father and pony passed away, sadly, about the same time. Hailey sent me her father's boots and her pony's hair. I put together a forever treasure with those boots and pony hair that will bring wonderful memories for a lifetime. Thank you Hailey for allowing me to be a part of your father's legacy.

Yehaw!
